Sunday School
The Homebuilders Class
“He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid
the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream
beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it:
for it was founded upon a rock.” Luke 6:48
The Homebuilders Sunday School Class seeks to help young families build a firm foundation upon the Solid Rock.
The Homebuilders Class meets at the top of the stairs from the church’s side entrance from the parking lot. Class members normally arrive around 9:50 AM, and after a brief time of catching up with one another from the previous week, we begin the class at 10:00. Our class consists of married couples, mainly from the 20 – 30 year old age group taught by Paul Bloom. After a time for sharing praises and prayer requests, we turn to God’s Word to seek His wisdom and truth for our homes and ourselves personally. Often times we take a book of the Bible, and study it in detail. Recently, we have completed studies of Ecclesiastes, Ruth, Esther, I and II Timothy, and Titus. We have also completed series on finances, effective prayer for our mates, and a character study of several Bible men. Our studies are a less formal time than the regular church service, with class discussion and personal insights welcomed.
The Homebuilders Class also offers opportunities for fellowship away from the church. We have one activity a month, and our activities have included dining out throughout Central Florida, a scavenger photo hunt, camping, a progressive dinner, attending college and professional sporting events, canoeing, bowling, day trips for sightseeing, picnicking in state parks, and many gatherings in each other’s homes.
Anyone with young children in the home or who is recently married is invited to attend the Homebuilders Sunday School class. We would welcome the opportunity of having you as our guest in the Homebuilders Class. Perhaps the Lord would lead you to join with us as we strive to grow and mature in our walk with Him.
We look forward to an opportunity to meet you in person.
